"Loving God, Bless this Ground"

Under a bright Jerusalem sun on the morning of September 11, Abbot Benedikt Lindemann, OSB, of Dormition Abbey, Mt, Sion, Abbot Dismas Kalcic, OSB, of St. Procopius Abbey, Lisle, Illinois, Beit Benedict Director, Fr. Johannes Oravecz, OSB, and others earnestly asked God to bless the ground upon which Beit Benedict Peace Academy will be built. The building site is a swath of hillside on Mt. Sion, the last parcel of land that can be developed. The significance of this occasion was felt by all present. "It is fitting we do this today on the anniversary of a terrible act of violence. We remember the past but hope in the future for God desires our joy, our peace." stated Fr. Johannes.
